So a while ago (back in April or May I think) I posted about making a collage of all the different bits of prog songs medley’d by Ruins on their track Progressive Rock Medley (from the album Pallaschtom). Well I only just finished it now after months of neglecting it so here it is. It’s parts from the originals of all the songs Ruins medley’d in that track, and goes as follows:

Yes - Siberian Khatru

Emerson Lake & Palmer - Tarkus (first part)

Bill Bruford - Hell’s Bells

Univers Zero - Dense

King Crimson - Red

Samla Mammas Manna (Zamla Mammaz Manna) - Fem Holmgangar (this was incredibly indistinct in the Ruins version, but I think I got it)

Premiata Forneria Marconi - Four Holes in the Ground

(Pierre Moerlin’s) Gong - Heavy Tune

UK - The Only Thing She Needs

Yes - Awaken

Goblin - Suspiria

Pink Floyd - Money

Rush - YYZ

Magma - The Last Seven Minutes

Patrick Moraz - Intermezzo (this is actually from Cacha (Baiao), which is the track right after Intermezzo on the album Story of I, because if you listen to Ruins’ version you can tell that it’s almost impossible to place it to any of the songs on the album, let alone the actual track Intermezzo)
Jean-Luc Ponty - Enigmatic Ocean

Genesis - Firth of Fifth

Gentle Giant - On Reflection

Steve Hackett - Ace of Wands

Camel - Lady Fantasy

Soft Machine - Huffin’

Genesis - Watcher of the Skies

Kansas - Song for America

Focus - Hocus Pocus

Magma - Kohntarkosz (I couldn’t find any part of that album that sounded like the part Ruins played, and I listened to the whole thing, so I just left the clip from Ruins in as a placeholder. If anyone finds any part of “Kohntarkosz” that sounds like this part of the medley, contact me)

Yes - Heart of the Sunrise

Area - Luglio, Agosto, Settembre (Nero)

King Crimson - Starless and Bible Black (same as with Kohntarkosz, I can’t figure out which part of this song Ruins is referencing. Again, if anyone can figure it out, let me know)

Yes - Sound Chaser

Soft Machine - Hazard Profile (Part One)

UK - In the Dead of Night

Magma - De Futura

Camel - Lunar Sea (this was the best I could do, but I think I got it)

King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man

Magma - De Futura (again)

King Crimson - Larks’ Tongues in Aspic

Genesis - It

Yes - Roundabout

Caravan - A Hunting We Shall Go (with outro)
